Cone man

I mentioned in my beach blogs that at one point I had donned the cone costume at the ice cream place where I bought Mr. Creepy Cone. I received requests for pictures, and after lengthy consideration have decided to honor them.

I did this two years ago and threatened to do it again this year. Cooler heads prevailed--but there's always next year!

I think the sequence of pictures speaks for itself, so I won't say any more.

Thanks for noticing.

"I am stupid" is a bit harsh.

The pictures are great, but I sense a story behind the donning of said costume.

Did you lose a bet?

Were you forced to sing the "Nothing" song from "A Chorus Line"?

See the entry after this one for my response.

I can't believe this is the only post labeled "I am stupid."

I take your point.

Don't know about you but it looks like the author picture for the next book to me. (just kidding) but you did what your suppose to do on vacations - have fun, and embarass the daughter!

I don't think this one will make it to a dustjacket, tempting as that is. I did manage to embarrass a lot of the people with me.

Haha - for Anonymous - I danced with the cone! I am ALMOST beyond embarrassment after eighteen years.

Mission almost accomplished.

Your children are never too old to embarrass in public. A great one is if your teenager is riding in your car with friends and you sing to a popular tune on the radio, off key and getting the words wrong. Throw in a few sitting dance moves and you have just killed their social life for years. A dancing cone man is small potatoes.

Excellent strategy.
