The background is that Scott and Sarah have a running joke that as soon as possible they want to go to a double bill of the dumbest looking films of the upcoming months: Step Up 3-D and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. I've sworn to join them if I possibly can.
Who could resist that pairing?

Are you making fun of a 3D Dance movie? Shame....why should sharks, blue aliens and owls get all the fun?
Make fun of a terrible dance film tarted up with 3D to try to capitalize on the latest dumb craze? Why would I do that?
Okay, I will give you this one. Sequels are rarely very good (look at Godfather III or Jaws 2,3 and 4), but the original was pretty dismal, so this is a laughable idea. I saw the previews of both these movies and I think there should be a dance off between the owls and the b boys. I am putting money on the owls.
The owls would kick butt.

Alas, no, I am not going to AussieCon. I had hoped to do so, but I couldn't wrangle the time away. I haven't been to Australia since 1985, but I loved it then and hope to go back.
