Two September films I can't wait to see

I have been a fan of Lawrence Block's for a long time, and I've long loved his dark Matt Scudder novels.  Now, one of them, A Walk Among the Tombstones, is coming to the big screen--and Liam Neeson is starring in it.

Back in the late eighties, I was a fan of the Edward Woodward TV show, The Equalizer.  Denzel Washington is starring in a reboot that looks awesome.

I'm psyched for both!

Liam use to be such a fine actor. Then he had one marvelous performance in Taken and now he has become "that guy" every time. And he doesn't act in 'a mold' fun or believably. At least for me. It's like watching a world class chess champion play checkers.

Strangely enough the Equalizer should have about the same problem but I don't like Denzel nearly as much and so it looks awesome.

Fair points, but I still like watching Neeson and Washington act.

I'll probably wait for both to be on DVD. I don't go to movie theaters often and when I do, I usually go to a sci-fi, a fantasy or a Marvel or DC comic book movie. I like movies by both actors, and I look forward to your reviews.
