The world's cutest dog asks why he isn't at the beach

As you can tell, he wasn't happy that we were away.

Yes, he's working it all--eyes, expression, posture--in an effort to will us back from the beach.

Admit it:  Holden is a damn cute dog.

My thanks to Emily, who was dog-sitting for us, for the photo.

I bet when Holden saw you guys you had quite a reunion moment! :)

Btw, how was "Snowpiercer"?

Holden indeed gave us all many happy wiggles of greeting.

Snowpiercer was pretty and did a decent job of being a velocity exercise--until the last roughly half hour, when it became entirely too talky and its silly premise fell apart. Many of us discussed it, but it ultimately simply did not hold up.

Sounds like for Holden now, all's well w/ the world. :)

Thanks for the movie review. And thanks for showing the movies y'all watched at the beach. I don't think I had ever heard about most of these movies, and a few looked intriguing.

Holden is generally happy, though by now he's probably figured out that I'm on the road again and so he is probably not thrilled.

We do watch a broad range of movies, many of them not good by conventional standards.

Holden will be glad to see you when you return. I'm sure he is missing you. Safe travel.

I loved "Cowboys and Aliens" and it was panned in many reviews, and thought "Man of Steel" was ok. I also like a fair number of the movies done by Jean Claude Van Damme, and that is definitely not conventional. Some of the movies I have disliked the most got raves and even won Oscars. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, for sure.

Yeah, each of us has very different tastes, which is, I believe, a very good thing.
