On the road again: Balticon, day 7
After much driving, including a detour that took us off I-85 for half an hour, I'm home. (My theory on the detour is that a secret government convoy was transporting an alien leader to the White House for a conference with President Obama when a terrorist group kidnapped the alien--but that's just one possibility.)
Simply settling in and dealing with the accumulated mail and so on has taken most of the evening, so I'm going to keep this short. Tomorrow, I hope to write up the big announcement.
Until then, enjoy a little Southside Johnny and the Boss.

Mark, your theory about aliens is ridiculous. I can reveal the truth. In collaboration withy the CIA, MI6 is building an underroad transmitter that will reprogram all people using the road into socialists thus undermining the core values of Muhrica. However, this fate can easily be avoided by the wearing of a tinfoil hat. I have mine on now as I have grave suspicions about the digging going on in next door's garden. Of course, they could just be burying a body of an alien under the patio as part of a NASA conspiracy.......Sorry gotta go;time for my medication.
You may well be right, John. I noticed the police in the area were all wearing large hats--but not showing what was under them. It could be tin foil.
Fortunately, I own an assortment of such foil hats, so I am safe.
To say nothing of the tin foil underwear--which though protective is more than a bit risky to wear.
It's not just aliens that can be avoided by wearing tin foil underwear... Although perhaps I'm not crediting the "Shiny!" enough...
