My Trump quote of the day

from the quote-rich New York Times story, is this one:

The president can’t have a conflict of interest.
Yup, that's a promising start.

I wonder if visiting foreign dignitaries will get coupon books good for discounts on stays at Trump hotels and bargains on Trump steaks--when you buy them in quantity.

Oh, yeah, it's going to be a long four years.

Given that He's already hit up the Indians, Argentineans, and the British, I'm just hoping that Congress won't find a way to disable the Constitution's Emoluments Clause.

Interesting times indeed.

Dear Guys,

I expect Trump to be crass, because he is crass.

That said, Mark and I have discussed PA&E which did billions of dollars of engineering work in my region of Nam and which was half-owned by 'Lady Bird Johnson'. And when the government of Gujerat tried to cancel some Enron contracts, the roof came down on them. It was openly known in the State Department under Clinton that it was Enron's sales arm. (Remember Enron?)

I don't like Trump or his behavior, but we can't pretend he's any different.

On this point, we will disagree. I believe and accept that corruption has always existed, but I believe Trump is and will prove to be qualitatively and quantitatively different.
