Where's the next Jon & Lobo book?

I get this question a lot, so I thought I'd answer it and a few related questions here, though I'm not bothering to list the questions; I figure you can easily infer them from the answers.

I'm working on it.

I'm really, really late with it.

I'm really, really sorry about that.  I truly am.

I don't know when I'll finish.

I thus don't know when it will appear.

Yes, I will finish it (and more books).

Because the book is tricky for me and my day job leaves me the bare minimum writing time.

Thank you for this post. :-)

I keep telling myself, "Mark's day job helps make the world a better place and actually keeps other people employed, which is a very, very good thing," but it doesn't make me long for the next installment any less.

I imagine that you're also at a point in the multi-story arc that will make the writing more difficult.

Please keep at it whenever time allows, because your ability to combine the science/tech element with such well-rounded characters is IMO quite rare. Example: I'm re-reading "Overthrowing Heaven," and I'm almost to the point where, on first reading, I was literally shouting at the book, "NOOOOO! Lobo!!!"

Cheers from NE Ohio!

This might be a good thing to repost on your Jumpgate forum at Baen's site. Thanks for the update, and keep up the good work.

Thanks, Jeremy, for the suggestion. I'll try to get to that later today, after work.

Eagerly looking forward to the next installment and spending my money on it.

I hope life is treating you well.

Thanks. I also look forward to that!

The incredibly busy nature of my life has hurt my writing progress. I need to improve in this area.

It's hard serving two masters.

I think we all serve multiple masters. I just need to do a better job of it.

Thanks, though, for the understanding.

I am wondering if you have any more updates on the next book(s)? I am re-reading all of them again and can't contain my curiosity:)

I am working on it, but progress is slow. I apologize for that.

Thanks for the update. Your books are among some of the best I have read so I am happy to wait as I know they will be well worth it.
