Ten and a half years in

Holden is still the best dog in the world.  He can do sensitive and attentive, while at the same time protective (of his bone).

He can do slyly pensive.

Really, he can do it all.

Thanks to Gina for the photos!

(1)Holden looks very sweet. My Black lab/border collie mix Mollie passed away a few years ago and I still miss her very much. (2)I can tell yall are having fun decorating your large tree! I noticed your home library. When I was in a house, I probably had as many books but not shelves that were as fancy. Now many of my books are in storage for the time being. (3)Yes, Peter O'Toole was one of a kind. Best wishes to your family for a wonderful Christmas and 2014.

Thanks for the kind words and good wishes. I hope your holidays are good.

Those shelves are the tiniest part of my library, which is overrunning the house.

My books overran into other rooms as well. I have at least 10 extra large boxes of books in storage right now, and there are books all over my apartment. I can think of worse things to do/have in excess though! I hope some day I am in a place where I can have them set up nicely. I'm really glad my kids love reading also. I have an invitation from friends for the 25th. Holidays alone can be rough, so I'm always really happy when I can be w/ friends. Thanks for the kind holiday wishes.

I'm glad you'll be with friends on Christmas. Having a lot of books always feels to me like a very good thing indeed.
